“Hapa Girl Diaries: A Yearning to Belong” - Komerican Pie Mini Memoir Feature
I am so excited to share that I wrote a mini memoir titled, “Hapa Girl Diaries: A Yearning to Belong” for Komerican Pie, a webzine that features Korean-American (Komerican!) life and experiences through a multi-generational immigrant lens.
This piece is so special to me. I share on my personal experience being both Korean-American and Irish-American and this sort of internal separateness I have always felt, that I feel many can relate to.
It was vulnerable and sooo healing for me to write and reflect on these themes on identity, missing out, and belonging.
So thrilled that it is published and out in the world!
What an honor to be a part of the Komerican Pie movement, to “live an unhyphenated life”.
I hope you enjoy it and perhaps find a resonance through my words. You can read it HERE. Let me know your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you xxx
